Coplanet 2006- International Congress on Planetary Consciousness
New York- 29th July 2006
Summary by Rubén Feldman González
Translation into English by Domhnall O'Brien
It was good to arrive in New York two days before the commencement of the Coplanet Congress 2006, because we were able to see the Al Gore film, “An Inconvenient Truth”, very much related to the theme of this Congress of Planetary Consciousness.
From the New Yorker Hotel (8th and 34th) to the Clearview cinema (1st and 62nd), the taxi driver charged me eight dollars, but on giving him ten dollars and expecting change but not getting it, he told me that he was keeping the two dollars as a tip. This was a precursor of what I call “the New York consciousness”, that has nothing to do with planetary consciousness. This little fraud of the taxi driver is just a pale reflection of the gigantic and frequent global financial frauds in the last 20 years.
Joseph Stiglitz, Nobel Prize in Physics 2001, and economic adviser to Bill Clinton, has said that the word that defines this historic moment is the word “fraud”.
There is financial, political, religious fraud etc, at every level and all over the planet. After seeing the film “An Inconvenient Truth”, (very recommendable), one thought about this planet in a different way.
The only thing that the planetary consciousness of Al Gore lacked was Unitary Perception.
Unitary Perception is a brain function that has been rediscovered in the 20th century, that we have described with a language so simple (although very polished epistemologically), that many believe that they can teach Unitary Perception without studying what we have written about it. Unfortunately this attempt to teach without learning the new polished language is a source of innumerable distortions.
There is free literature on Unitary Perception on the Internet (in this web site)
The drama of the financial micro and macro-cosmos is repeated in technology.
A machine gun can kill 100 people in 10 seconds, but if in the same place the new arms technology is used, (a nuclear bomb) not only do more people die, but the noxious consequences multiply in many areas of human endeavour and in the extensive territory of Planet Earth.
This difference turns present war into an even more immoral act than in the past. In order to continue speaking with a certain profundity on this theme of planetary consciousness, I believe that it is advisable to give a quick overview of the events of the present.
Mexico, the country that I left to come to this Congress, is putting itself together after the devastating Hurricane Wilma, from the total inundation of the city of Juárez and is living in great political uncertainty, after the dubious process to elect the president of the Republic.
This is just one of the trapeze acts in the political circus of the planet, since Al Gore was deprived of the Presidency of the United States, by the Bush family.
The same thing as in Mexico (and simultaneously) is happening in the Congo, Africa; some very dubious elections for President.
The internal politics of the United States is breaking down, above all in the areas of defence and immigration.
The supporters of Lopez Obrador block the streets in the city of Mexico, united in a pacific movement called “For the good of All”, even though some ever-present groups terrorize with the use of violence. This coincides with another devaluation of the Mexican peso and a lowering of the price of Mexican financial assets. There is 40% unemployment in the tourist zones of Mexico.
If there are violent groups in Mexico, the industry based on “wanting to visit Mexico” will not function.
This affects all of the commerce of Latin America and the old problem of poverty in this continent is complicated even more.
There are epidemics of meningitis in Buenos Aires, which indicates that the immunity in that country has fallen, which tended to be well-fed.
Adolfo Pérez Esquivel, Nobel Prize in Peace 1980, says that, “the Latin American continent lives between a deep anguish and a little hope.”
Rigoberta Menchu, Nobel Prize in Peace 1992, states that, “there are old latent conflicts that could erupt at any moment.”
Those who affirm in Mexico, to have triumphed in the elections, promise to favour the retired and old age pensioners, a promise that despite being a very small and partial solution, is very rarely carried out in Latin America.
The international reserves are falling in Mexico. It is feared that the income from taxes will fall as well. The number of court cases by companies against the government has increased.
The natural gas of Mexico has passed into private hands.
I analyse these processes in my short book, “Social Structures of the 21st Century”. (in Spanish)
All of this coincides with an acceleration of the “recessionary” inflation in the United States.
Everything is more expensive without a change in salaries.
Business is dropping off in the United States. More Japanese cars are being sold than those of the United States, even within the United States.
The German Bank has denounced the repercussions of the recession and the inflation of the United States, in the European Union.
All the planet suffers.
The price of orange juice has risen, solely because of the fear of more hurricanes in Florida, the state that produces oranges.
The hottest bestseller of the moment, because of well- paid publicity, is that of a mathematician, (Benoit Mandelbrot) who refers to his theory of the behaviour of the markets.
The wars, which are now going on for five thousand years, although the names change, are intensifying acutely in Lebanon, Afghanistan and Iraq.
The invasion of Iraq is starting to be called the “Iraqi Civil War”. This obscuring change of names already occurred during the Spanish Revolution, defeated by the coalition of Franco, Hitler and Mussolini, a revolution that Franco re-baptised with the name “Spanish Civil War”.
This increases the price of petrol, (because of the fear of not having it) and then the price of gold goes up. (in order to have something if there is no petrol).
The Washington of Bush is not in agreement with North Korea, Syria, the Congo and Iran. President Bush states that the change of government in Cuba is not sufficient for raising the economic blockade against Cuba that has gone on for four decades. The supporters of Bush propose a massive deportation of illegal Mexicans. In the same “train” to eliminate “the undesirables”, in the airline corporations it is proposed that people who weigh over 85 kilograms should pay double for their airfare because of the “excess weight”.
The number of “undesirable” journalists murdered in Mexico, Colombia and Brazil has also increased.
Our limits are erected by our fears and the more fear there is, the more limits we put on ourselves mutually, at the level of the individual, the couple, and at the national and international levels.
The International Banks continue to rigidly control credit and those who receive money are those who need it least.
The economic stability of China is favourable for the commerce of the whole planet, above all that of Asia.
Stephen Hawkins spoke recently about the survival of humanity in the 21st century.
The very choice of themes clearly shows us the present human predicament:
the human species could disappear.
There are those who do not believe that humanity will survive this 21st century. Despite the White Revolution (without blood) of López Obrador in Mexico, the Bolivarian Revolution of Hugo Chavez in Venezuela, which allegedly continued the Cuban Revolution of Fidel Castro and Che Guevara, and the Agrarian Revolution of the present Bolivian president, society continues to function all over the planet as in the worst moments of medieval slave feudalism.
It is now time for us to realise that the only way in which society will change, is if each human being changes in the profundity of their minds.
No external change, no matter how spectacular and bloody they are, will bring lasting changes in world society.
History confirms to us that neither the changes brought about by the French Revolution in 1789 nor the Russian Revolution in 1917 were lasting.
They lacked the internal change, the internal peace of each human being.
I recommend my book “The Great Leap of Mind”.
This profound change of the human being can only occur in Unitary Perception.
If tomorrow 300 thousand million dollars were assigned to education in the United States (a sum that is only 25% of what the government of that country spends on “defence”, secret agents and the buying of arms) there still would not be good education, because there are not sufficient teachers who know what Unitary Perception is.
Jiddu Krishnamurti stated that with the mind mutated by Unitary Perception, individual conflicts would cease, and as a result, the bull fights, cock fights and boxing matches, the divorces and the wars.
A mind in peace perhaps does not need to kill in order to eat. Maybe not killing in order to eat contributes to a mind that is in peace.
But how will we make it so that humanity unites in peace and not for war? How can human planetary consciousness be constructed, when war has now gone on for five thousand years with just the name changing and the divisions amongst human beings increasing each day?
I state sincerely: with Unitary Perception.
In English there are two words to say “consciencia” (Spanish): “conscience”, which means moral consciousness, and “consciousness”, which means to be aware.
I have used the words “consciousness” and “evolution” very carefully in my writings. It has not been possible to define the word “consciousness” consensually, in a satisfactory way from the epistemological point of view.
The word “evolution” covers too much to be significant.
Taking just the word “evolution” of Charles Darwin we see that there could not have been sufficient time for the Earth to cool and permit life, and that this life would have evolved in such a varied way in a such a short period of time, solely by the action of natural selection.
Darwin himself rejected the idea of genetic mutation to explain that such varied forms of life had appeared so rapidly.
The religious view of a divine plan, opposed to the evolution of Darwin, is misplaced, because the Plan could coincide with the evolution described by Darwin, if it were not for the fact that the time, (another human invention) was too short from the origin of life until Darwin, to explain, by mere natural selection, so much bio-diversity.
Darwin himself gave conferences to explain how the use or misuse of a function, could explain the persistence or disappearance of a function, in an evolutionary way, which appears like the idea of Lamarck, of the inheritance of acquired characteristics. Be is as it may, it was in an attempt to demonstrate the idea of Lamarck (Mc Dougall in Harvard, Crew in Scotland and Agar in Australia), that there was a confirmation, accidentally, of what much later, in 1986, David Bohm would demonstrate mathematically: that diversity is united, and not just in life, but in all of matter, energy and mind of the cosmos, by the implicit order. See my books “The Psychology for the 21st Century” and Note 5 “My Meetings with David Bohm”.
If we are well aware, in Unitary Perception, of undivided reality, (universal, human, animal, vegetable, mineral and spiritual) then the ethical is not separated from the consciousness of what is occurring.
If there is Unitary Perception, then we are all for one and one for all.
All us human beings are one, and this implies respecting the essential dignity of each human being, without exploitation, without slavery, without violence, and without making financial gain substitute for love amongst human beings.
This love will be seen in a humanity with less economic inequality, with less malnourishment, in the midst of abundance.
Ettore Gelpi, of Unesco states that, “if we speak of solidarity and democracy, we have to practice them.”
There is no democracy in the United Nations.
There is no education if we educate without Unitary Perception.
The teacher and the student without Unitary Perception live in the same way as the people without education, that is to say, they live with the same violence, with the same absence of voluntary austerity, with the same complications and conflicts.
In Unitary Perception, it is easier to see the unity in the diversity.
For example, if there is idiomatic imperialism, which means that one language is imposed on the others, the cultural and idiomatic diversity of humanity, which enriches us all, is endangered.
From this unitary Perception, the Esperanto language has arisen, which is a work of genius of human thought, a language that can be learned in 50 hours, versus the 3 thousand hours that are needed to learn English or Spanish.
The Esperanto International Language, which has functioned for a century already, despite constant sabotage and two world wars, language which has now been approved by Unesco, as the second language of each human being on the planet, contributes to the planetary consciousness and protects the idiomatic and cultural diversity of humanity.
It is so easy that it can be learned on the Internet.
Esperanto should not be imposed, it has to be learned as part of our planetary consciousness.
The quintessence of life is Unitary Perception.
Unitary Perception is the most elevated essence of Yoga, (Maha Raja Yoga) and of Present Science.
It is also the brain function that was recovered in the 20th century by Jiddu Krishnamurti (JK-2), which gives equilibrium to this human brain, which has functioned without it for a million years.
We study and we live Unitary Perception to understand what the human being has invented and also the sacred, (which is not a human invention) fully and without any distortion.
Both science and spiritually are based on laws that it is necessary to know and respect, which are laws that mutually support one another.
It is necessary to observe and measure what action produces without measure.
But the new science observes and measures in a new way, as David Bohm tells us in his book, “Wholeness and the Implicate Order.”
Science as David Bohm proposes it, shows us more unity in the diversity.
There is science, yoga, economics, medicine, psychology, technology and spirituality in precinct C of the mind, and there is science, yoga, economics, medicine, psychology, technology and spirituality, which are very different in psychological precinct B.
This is much deeper than a mere (and necessary) re-conceptualisation of the diagnosis and treatment of the medical and economic problems of human beings.
We need to live Jesus Christ (JK-1) in our heart.
We do not need Christianity, which has fragmented and distorted the teaching of Jesus Christ (JK-1).-
In the same way we need to understand Buddha (the enlightened one), but we do not need Buddhism.
We need universal brotherhood, but not the hierarchies that are called “spiritual”, that appear so much like racism.
The dietetic rules could be applied more effectively, when the necessity for them is naturally seen, something that only occurs with the global intelligence of Unitary Perception.
The sun is not superior to the moon, although the sun has more material and energy than the moon.
The spots of the sun are more numerous, more turbulent and bigger than the spots of the moon. Despite this the sun shares its matter and its energy with all of the forms of life of planet Earth without exception.
And even if we do not recognise the presence of the sun, there it is unceasingly giving and giving without ever receiving anything.
What a beautiful teaching the suns gives us!
To give without receiving and to give without hierarchies.
And how do we see sex in the planetary consciousness?
a) If sex means just disseminating copies of our own genes, sex without the intelligence of Unitary Perception has as an object the pursuit of orgasm and that Rubén obtains a world full of little Rubéns and Rubénas. It is Unitary Perception that allows Rubén to understand that he needs other different living beings on the planet, in part to maintain the equilibrium through biodiversity, and so that Rubén can survive in interdependence.
b) This is just the crude and coarse part of sex, I am not referring to sex (sex or six) which is the union of the trinities (mind, body, spirit) of the man and the woman.
These trinities do not have a remembered commencement or a conscious objective, precisely because they were born together with the sun.
These trinities are “covered” by the protean and changing activity of the “I”, based on fear, anger and sadness.
It is very important to learn to differentiate between the individual who is free of egoism (in Unitary Perception) who has complete contact with physical, mental and spiritual reality, and the individual who suffers a psychiatric de-personalisation, and as a result feels himself isolated from reality.
c) Without doubt the material is the least important part of sex, because DNA, which is the chemical part of the gene, is barely present in the spermatozoids and gonadal ova.
Since Jesus Christ (JK-1), 16 thousand million human beings have been born, and the DNA necessary for all those births weighs less than a gram (1/30 of an ounce) and would fit in half a teaspoon.
2,000 years of human beings are made with less than a gram of DNA.-
d) We see very clearly that in planetary consciousness, the easiest problems to solve are the material problems: complete and sustainable food and health, transport, accommodation without homelessness, education, reforestation, etc.
e) Whilst living in Alaska for five years, studying the effects of light and darkness on human life, I knew of a rodent mammal called “wood lemming” that has four sexes: The male and three types of females, those females that produce males, those that produce females and those that produce both males and females.
f) The paramecium can reproduce by binary division, splitting itself into two equal parts, or even, in adverse conditions, it can resort to conjugation in solidarity (with more chance of survival), joining itself proto-sexually with another paramecium.
Planetary consciousness brings many surprises, like those that the daily exploration of the seas brings to us at the present time, and a much broader and deeper knowledge of life, which will allow us to live a much richer and happier life than the present one.
For example, whilst studying the extremophile organisms, like the bacteria that live in lava, in caves or in glaciers, new bacteria have been discovered.
Thanks to these studies, of the last ten years, we know that in 1997 we knew only 1/3 of the bacteria that we now know.
The implications of this fact are unimaginable.
Psychological precinct C (the known) has tried with little success to formulate life and undivided reality with intellectual structures to avoid the inexorable confusion that results from perceiving reality fragmentarily as thought, memory, fantasy and imagination demonstrate to us.-
This precinct C gives us religion, science, education, economics, psychology, technology and yoga as we know them.
But if we want to completely understand religion, science, education, economics, psychology, technology and yoga, we need Unitary Perception.-
We just need to be careful that precinct C does not believe that because it can define Unitary Perception, it can understand and live it.
No exclusive and fragmentary thought can substitute for the awakening of Unitary Perception.
No fantasy and no imagination, no idea can substitute for the awakening of Unitary Perception.
In the profound austerity of the completely silent and alert aloneness, arises the hurricane of the most curative and most sacred energy.
One is living in that energy and that has made it so that this body has not died yet, despite the fact that for many years, (some 20), filled with extreme enthusiasm to spread Unitary Perception, I forgot or ignored the following of dietetic rules and the most basic gymnastics.
In this energy of the “Pneuma Agion” (the energy of air) there is no existence of the egocentric defences based on fantasy or obsessive idea, based on memories of collective and mutual hypnosis in which we survive, seeking false certainties.
In the benediction of living in Unitary Perception in the present, (which is not to live the present merely by thinking or remembering), one enjoys in peace the enormous energy of the unknown, at each instant.
This living the present in Unitary Perception, which is the narrow door that few open, is not obtained with techniques of concentration nor meditation, or by pursuing predilections of thought (the known).
Neither is it devout prayer. It is not the created separated from the creator.
It is not to practice virtue, it is true life because it is not imaginary life.
It is the ego that practices virtue and in that way believes that it “aggrandises” itself.
Unitary Perception is the mind in peace but not the “pacified” mind.
In Unitary Perception we become aware that reality is undivided, but not “unified by the observer”.
In this living silence, ultra-sensitive (although not necessarily “extra-sensorial”) which is Unitary Perception, when one does have to remember or think functionally, one does it with more clarity, coherence and lucidity.
Living completely here, 100%, we are being liberated of the desire to escape from here (with thoughts, fantasies, imagination and memories).
And in this way live in harmony with all, free of the fear that the terrorised and the terrorist have.
